The Board of Directors of the Global Methodist Foundation of North Alabama (GMFNA) is hosting a celebratory dinner to fund scholarships for seminary students, Dr. Timothy Tennent will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Beginning in 2025, Dr. Tennent will become the Methodist Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School, a Global Methodist Church approved theological school. Before that, he served for fifteen years as president of Asbury Theological Seminary. The author of many books, he is a global leader in the Wesleyan movement and deeply acquainted with the opportunities and challenges associated with clergy education and formation.

GMFNA exists to give scholarship assistance to certified candidates for ministry in the North Alabama Conference of the Global Methodist Church, in order to minimize the debt incurred by student loans. We believe that clergy unburdened by school debt will be better able to serve the church, and that your local church will be healthier as a result.

This Birmingham-area event will be held October 17. If you are interested in learning more about the banquet or, perhaps, attending, click the button below to fill out a contact form, and we'll be in touch.

If you are unable to participate in this event but would like to join us in our work of helping pastors finish seminary without student debt, visit www.gmfna.org/give.
